Linda Anderson is at the forefront in pointing out important economic, social, health, educational, and spiritual implications for three underestimated yet enormously significant lifestyle changes in America today:

• Two out of three homes have pets (the highest number in history);

88 percent of people with pets view them as family members;

More people have pets than have children;

7,000 animal organizations with 10,000,000 members operate in communities across the country everyday and affect who wins elections, the food and clothing sold at stores, and a city or state's quality of life;

There is a proven, direct link between animal abuse in children and adults and violent behavior toward humans;

People live longer, age better, have less loneliness, and are healthier if they have pets;

Millions of people make hundreds of lifestyle choices for how and where to live, what church to attend, and how to spend their money based on their love and concern for family pets.

  Linda Giving a Presentation at the Minneapolis Convention Center

Linda Anderson is an internationally recognized bestselling author of ten popular pet books and inspirational speaker about the benefits and complexities of human-animal companionship. She uses her professional experiences as a small business owner, educator, consultant, and media specialist to enlighten audiences about the needs, interests, and priorities of millions of people who love their pets.

As a six-year breast cancer survivor, she knows the value of pets for bringing healing and comfort, because her beloved pets were there for her through one of the most challenging and painful periods of her life. As a trained animal rescue volunteer, Linda raises awareness of the need for individuals and societies to protect and save animals.

Linda and Allen donate a portion of proceeds from their work to animal rescue organizations and they do fundraising activities. Their dog and cats are rescued -- or is it the other way around?

"Linda and Allen Anderson write about and speaks to the very heart of the divine gifts animals are and bring into our lives.  No greater joys have I witnessed in nearly 30 years of nursing than the face of a patient when hospital and nursing home volunteers brought in pets to visit the patients.  Linda and Allen bring the healing power of animals through his storytelling with great wisdom, clarity, and love."
